At the base of our standard products is a special rubber. It ensures that your mat will not slip, slide or sneak away from its countertop. Once a counter mat is placed, it will not accidently move, but it is still easily picked up when you want to.
The next layer is a print out of your desired graphic. Our printing system ensures that your logo or other graphic will last for years. We use paper that is layered between the rubber base and a clear plastic surface. This surface is a Lexan Hard Top. It is an extremely sturdy material that will not scratch and is easy to wipe clean. An additional countermat feature is its ability to hold and protect bright colors through years of use.
The construction of our slide thru counter mats is very similar to that of our other mats. The difference is the printed material. For this design we do not print your border onto paper as we do for standard countertop mats. On slide thru mats, the border is printed under the plastic surface. If you prefer the traditional method, backing paper can be used instead for an additional charge.
